Content on this site carries one of the bylines below. We publish role-based bylines rather than invented personal profiles: named biographies, photographs and credentials only appear once a real individual has agreed to be named and their background has been verified. Until then, this page tells you exactly which function wrote or reviewed what you are reading, and what that function is accountable for.

How a page gets written and reviewed
Every page follows the same route to publication. Research and drafting sit with editorial research and review, which gathers the primary sources first — regulator pages, statutes, federal agency guidance and official payment-network documentation — and writes from those rather than from other people's summaries. Each factual statement has to remain traceable to one of those sources after the draft is finished, which is why source lists and read dates appear on the pages where regulatory statements are made.
The draft then goes to operational review. A payments specialist reads it against how files, accounts and settlement actually behave: whether an underwriting description matches how a file is really assessed, whether a settlement or reserve description is realistic, and whether a recommendation would survive contact with a live merchant account. Anything that cannot be supported is cut at this stage rather than softened.
After publication, pages carry a last-reviewed date and a re-review cadence. Regulatory, banking and payment-network material is re-checked on that cadence, and sooner when a rule, a programme or a provider policy changes. When a page is re-reviewed, the date changes; when nothing needed changing, we say so rather than inventing an update.

What each byline is accountable for
The writing byline is accountable for sourcing: that a claim is attributable, that the source URL was read on the date shown, and that nothing has been carried over from a competitor's page or a provider's marketing.
The reviewing byline is accountable for accuracy in practice, and signs off that no page promises approval, compliance or account longevity, that payment-method availability is framed as provider-and-licence dependent rather than as a national rule, and that any page needing an earlier regulatory, banking or network re-review has been flagged for one.
Named profiles
This page is intentionally free of invented staff. When named specialists are added, each profile will include the person's real name, role, relevant experience and the content they review — and their name will appear as the author or reviewer on the pages they actually worked on, matching the structured data on those pages. We would rather publish a role than a fabricated biography.
